Frequently asked questions about Project Floors
What is the difference between floors@home and floors@work?
floors@home is made for residential use, while floors@work is for commercially used areas with higher demands. Some decors overlap, but the wear layer and wear class differ.
What do the numbers 20, 30, and 55 stand for?
They indicate the wear layer, i.e., 0.20, 0.30, and 0.55 mm. The thicker the wear layer, the more durable the floor. 0.30 mm is sufficient for standard living spaces, while 0.55 mm is intended for heavily used and commercial areas.
Glue-down or click – which is better?
Glue-down vinyl is bonded across the entire surface, has a very low profile, and conducts heat well, but requires a cleanly prepared subfloor. Rigid core click flooring is installed as a floating floor and is finished faster. Read more about this in our guide on subfloor preparation.
Can I order Project Floors as a sample in advance?
Yes. Order 3 samples for €19.95; we credit this amount toward your purchase.
