What is vinyl flooring?
Vinyl flooring is a multi-layer floor covering. At the very top is a transparent wear layer that protects against abrasion, underneath is the decor layer with the wood, stone, or concrete look, and at the bottom is the core or backing layer. Depending on the construction, the floor is clicked together or fully glued. We offer a good 900 click-vinyl and nearly 1,100 glue-down vinyl floors.
- Click vinyl: installed as a floating floor, without glue, many decors with integrated impact sound insulation.
- Rigid vinyl (SPC): click vinyl with a rigid core, dimensionally stable and tolerant of minor unevenness.
- Glue-down vinyl: thin and fully glued, for large areas and underfloor heating.
Vinyl flooring by look
- Wood-look vinyl, from light oak to dark planks.
- Click vinyl in oak, the classic from light to dark.
- Tile- and stone-look vinyl, stone and tile decors.
- Concrete-look vinyl, the industrial look for lofts and new builds.
- Herringbone vinyl, the elegant herringbone pattern.

- Rigid vinyl with SPC core, dimensionally stable and ideal over old tiles.
- Glue-down vinyl, flat and bonded particularly stably.

- Vinyl for the bathroom, waterproof even in damp rooms.
- Vinyl with impact sound insulation, pleasantly quiet in multi-family houses.

Why vinyl flooring?
- 100% waterproof, also for bathroom, kitchen, and hallway.
- Warm underfoot and quiet, many models with integrated impact sound insulation.
- Easy to maintain and robust, ideal for families and pets.

What to look for when buying vinyl flooring
- Wear layer: From 0.3 mm for living and bedrooms, 0.55 mm for hallways, kitchens, and home offices. More on this in the guide Vinyl wear layer explained.
- Usage class: This shows how heavily the floor can be subjected to wear; see Usage class 33.
- Subfloor: Click vinyl forgives minor unevenness; glue-down vinyl requires a smooth, filled subfloor.
- To be honest: Vinyl cannot be sanded down, and heavy point loads can leave pressure marks. You can prevent this with furniture gliders and the right wear layer.
How to recognize quality is explained in the guide How do I recognize good vinyl flooring?. You can find a comparison with other floorings in Vinyl flooring vs. laminate.

Frequently asked questions about buying vinyl flooring
What is the difference between vinyl flooring and design flooring?
There is none; both refer to the same type of flooring. "Design flooring" is the term used in the specialist trade, internationally it is called LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile). This refers to a multi-layer floor with a decor and wear layer, available as a click or glue-down version. A special form is PVC-free design flooring like Ceramin, which has a similar structure but is PVC-free.
How much does vinyl flooring cost per m²?
With us, vinyl flooring currently costs between approximately €22 and €83 per m², with most floors costing between €25 and €60. Glue-down vinyl is on average cheaper than click vinyl. The deciding factors are the wear layer, construction, and brand. You can see the current m² prices and sale offers directly on the product.
Click or glue-down vinyl, what should I buy?
Click vinyl is installed as a floating floor, is quick to install, and is ideal for rented apartments and DIY enthusiasts. Glue-down vinyl is fully bonded, has a lower installation height, and lies particularly quietly, but requires a well-prepared subfloor. More on this in the comparison Click vinyl or glue-down vinyl.
Which wear layer do I need?
For living and bedrooms, a wear layer of at least 0.3 mm is sufficient. For hallways, kitchens, home offices with office chairs, and households with pets, we recommend 0.55 mm. About half of our vinyl floors have a 0.55 mm wear layer.
Can I order samples before buying?
Yes. Three samples cost €19.95 and are delivered to your home; we will credit this amount when you purchase your floor. This allows you to compare the look and haptics in peace in your room's real lighting before you commit.
How fast is the delivery?
We deliver in-stock items via a freight forwarder with schedulable delivery, usually 7 to 10 working days after receipt of payment. You can see the estimated delivery time on the respective product.
